Adopted from the BCSPCA in Kamloops. 11/11/2016. Born February 22, 2016.

Kiana was brought in by her owners only after 6 months of being on this planet to the Kamloops SPCA to be given for adoption. The family didn't have enough time for her and as she being an American Staffordshire Terrier, she is full of energy and too much for new borns at the time unless she was properly trained from the get go.

She became immediate staff pick and had a long line of applicants. I was so fortunate to rush over to meet her after being listed for only 12 hours.

The 3 hour trip to Kamloops was well worth it.

Meeting Kiana for the first time, I seen a pup with so much energy, and love. Overly excited and just wanted to get outside to the park and run. Watching her bolt around was a sight to be seen. I couldn't believe that such a dog was sitting for adoption. Broke my heart.

We immediately became friends and was picking up on my commands very quickly. Even with her handlers being there, I could get her attention and would come running back to me.

I knew we were going to have a great future together. She needed lots of attention and someone to be able to expel all that energy on a daily basis. Perfect for myself and perfect for her.

She's full of affection and love! Full of life and brings joy and happiness to anyone who crosses her path! She loves every human she meets and plays with all dogs big or small. Her submissive nature makes her a huge baby. Will snuggle with you no matter where you're sitting. Loves car rides, children of all ages, her toys, a comfy bed including her massive kennel. She's an absolute blast to watch at the dog park as she puts the paces to the other dogs. Her favourite is playing keep away. Dog owners love her presence as everyone goes home tired! Makes for the best naps. And you have to love those adorable snores! The licks never end, So be prepared for many showers of kisses!

I chose the name Kiana as it means "Elements of Nature". So fitting for her in the sense as when we drive and she sees a thick forest, she begins to whimper wanting to be outside. She loves hikes in the forest and never gets tired from hiking day in and day out.
