Buddy is a short haired 3 year old tabby rescue. He was stray for 1.5 years, from when he was just 6 months old. He appeared under my utility trailer a year ago and I coaxed him to me with a piece of salmon. Frail, dull and skeletal, we nursed him to health. When we visited the vet for a check up, she found a chip in his shoulder. Thankfully, when contacted, the previous owner knew he had found a loving home and explained that he had been tormented as a young kitten by 2 dogs and an adult cat. Living here in Cordova Bay, he has the run of a forest park next door, he climbs trees, runs like the wind and happily sleeps in our rec room in an overstuffed recliner each night. Buddy also often curls up on our couch, right next our elderly terrier, who is less than pleased with the intrusion. Buddy pays no attention to the crotchedy dog. All of our many pets have come from the BC SPCA, or the CRD Pound, til Buddy blessed us with his presence!
