This is Kona (originally Bes) and Zara! Zara is a 4 year old jack Russell westie and Kona is a 6 month old lab X puppy! We got Kona near the end of November and she changed my life, my husbands life and Zara's life. She has been the most amazing girl we could've asked for. She is the most gentle puppy, not only with others dogs but adults/children as well. She so eager to learn and she amazes us every day. One of the best decisions we've ever made was adopting her from the BCSPCA, Victoria branch. We are so happy that Zara and Kona have each other to play with and to relax with.
Kona was adopted by another family prior to us and She was returned for a reason we aren't really aware of , but their loss was our gain. She was quite a handleful for the first two weeks, but we expected that as she was only 12 weeks old when we got her. But after those two weeks passed and after lots of training and socialization she became nearly perfect. For us, she is abosolutley perfect. She is energetic and fun when we are outside, at dog parks, on hikes etc .. but shes also so snuggly and relaxed when we are indoors. We couldn't of asked for a better outcome. We are grateful everyday that she's apart of our family and we feel incredibly blessed.
On another note.. the SPCA was so incredible to us. They made everything so easy for us and we're so helpful. The dog we had originally applied for had been adopted, and that was okay because we knew there were more available. The spca contacted us a week later based on our application and thought we would be a good match for Kona, and were they ever right. Because of them we have the sweetest angel in our home. We have so much fun everyday, and she even comes to work with me from time to time! We love her and we thank the spca!!
