Introducing Pistachio the three legged wonder! Pistachio was hit by a car last month, and her owners were unable to pay for the care she needed - they had to surrender her to the SPCA. Pistachio was in such bad shape, she was scheduled to be euthanized. Lucky for Pistachio, a local vet heard her story, and offered to do her amputation surgery for free. The surgery was a success, and Pistachio was granted a second chance at life. Two weeks later, only a few hours before she was to be taken to the shelter, Pistachio found her new forever family. Pistachio now enjoys naps in the sun, playing with her feline friends, cuddles from her humans, and sprinting around the house at 3am. She is living life to the fullest, and doesn't even notice she has one leg too few :)
