I adopted Kame from the Burnaby SPCA when she was 1 year old. I was volunteering there as part of my veterinary assistant program and I was not looking to adopt at the time, but I fell in love with her. She was the loudest, most demanding cat there and she hated being held, but she was so beautiful and I felt a connection with her instantly. At first she was afraid of any sudden movement and noise but she gradually got used to her new home and family. Now 3 years later, she is still the crazy cat that I met at the shelter, but she is also my best friend and I'm so lucky to have her.
