Bio
I rescued Ty from an unsuitable home where he was not treated as he should be. He became very aggressive which made his owners at the time hit and abuse him and he continued to become more and more aggressive. I took Tyler home when he was 10 months old and he was extremely fear aggressive. Everything scared him and his first response, in fear, was to attack. He bonded with me as soon as I got him home. Unfortunately that meant that everyone who tried to come near me was a threat. My father especially could not come near me for the first long while. New people coming into our house couldn't go near Ty and everyone was afraid of him. He had to be on a leash 24/7 as he would also attack our cats, I also could not take him anywhere in fear of him attacking someone else's pet. We live on a farm so the horses were also very scary to him and it was clear he hadn't even been outside much at all. He would attack the horses, other dogs, cats, chase cars, and was very aggressive towards outside people especially men. After the first few days of having him my mother told me that if he continues to be like he was then we would have to either find him a home or euthanize him. He was clearly locked in a kennel for most of his life before I got him as he was also terrified of kennels. I put one in my room and would feed him closer and closer to it every day, eventually he learned to love his kennel. With a lot of consistency and patience and watched lots of "The Dog Whisperer" Ty is almost the perfect dog. He is now 5 years old and I am able to bring him anywhere I go! He loves people and other dogs (keeps his distance from the cats and horses though) and he loves going on truck rides to the different barns I work at. He also likes coming to rodeos to watch me and my sister ride and thoroughly enjoys the off-leash dog park! Tyler P. Jones has come so far since I've owned him and he now has the life he deserves and a loving family! Thank you for reading
