We found our Annie on the BCSPCA website and phoned to inquire about her. The Richmond BCSPCA responded that many people called wanting to meet her so to hurry there! So I left work early picked up my daughter early from school and we quickly drove out from North Vancouver. Annie had a sad start to life as she was found abandoned and in poor health in the Kamloops area as a young pup. A local vet treated her and when no one claimed her they released her to the BCSPCA. She is a mixed mystery breed! Some have suggested maybe a Lurcher? She is cream coloured with apricot ears. She has terrier and border collie in her she has great hunting instincts! For us it was love at first sight. Initially although very loyal, Annie was a fearful dog but quickly became a gentle, quiet and affectionate dog. She is 10 years old now and we hope to start training soon to become a Pet Therapy dog. As I work in Mental Health and she is very perceptive and great at comforting people I hope to put her to work! Annie is very intelligent and knows many commands. She loves her daily hikes in our North Shore forests. This photo is my favourite and was taken on a family vacation at sunset on Eagan Lake in Cariboo Country.
