In the summer of 2015 Eponine had been rescued from a local trailer court which was being demolished. She was one of many ferrel kittens found in that location, and luckily for both of us she had been saved. A colleague of mine who fostered animals through the SPCA, temporarily cared for her in her earliest days so that she would have a chance in life. I was asked to consider adopting her, much to my hesitation, as I had already adopted another male, ferrel cat from the SPCA the year before. However, upon meeting Eponine I knew she was to be a part of my forever family. Needless to say it was a tough beginning as she had little trust in people due to the trauma she had experienced. However, one and half years later she is the love of my life. She has developed great pride in herself and loves to flaunt her unique beauty. As well, she now loves to be cuddled, has claimed a few choice locations in our house as her own, and adores her big brother, Buddy. I can't imagine my home without her.
