This is Jake who we "found" at the Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) in October, 2009. His first few days with us were a little 'ruff' but after a lot of love and patience (from our other dog Roxy and us) he settled in and now we commonly refer to him as the "best dog, EVER", well, except for our other dog who is the "best dog, EVER, too!"

Jake is food motivated and thankfully so or I would never have been able to capture this photo which I lovingly refer to as "Christmas Hope" (Jake's hoping he'll get the treat my husband is holding just out of frame).

We are proud supporters of animal rescue organizations like BCSPCA and RAPS (to name a few) and are forever grateful that Jake found his way into our home.
