Ramona came into my life more than 15 years ago and sadly left just 2 months ago. In that time she changed the lives of all of those who loved her- especially her moms and dog sisters who all miss her very much. She was intuitive, incredibly wise and was always communicating with her soulful eyes. Ramona was her sisters' beloved matriarch and she was always at my side. I believe that she was as much my leader as I was hers and I am eternally grateful to have had all the years together we did- though it wasn't long enough. My idea of heaven is to see her again happy and healthy and running towards me.
When I met Ramona she was at the shelter tilting her head at me. I was told that she was abandoned in an apartment building- something I will never understand. She had to stay for a week in case someone was looking for her and I visited her every day. Each day she was so disappointed not to leave with me until the last day she didn't even try and just went back to sit in her cage. When I showed her she was coming home she was so excited! Since that fateful day we shared so many adventures together and moved across the country. I am so grateful to all the animal people out there who care about giving dogs like Ramona the life she deserved. She will be in our hearts forever.
