BioWillow, a domestic short-hair, was born at our local SPCA in October 2016. Our 3 kids spotted her one snowy day in December 2016 while looking around, visiting our city's new shelter. She had been reserved for someone who had been interested in adopting her. We were told by staff that kittens are unusual to find at this particular shelter. Disappointed, we left and returned 2 weeks later, to find her still there and available for adoption! We were thrilled:-) The kids told me & my husband that there was no doubt... she was the one for our family. She was full of affection and we couldn't believe how relaxed & calm she was. We took her home that day & re-named her "Willow", aptly describing her Russian blue-grey colour, similar to that of a Pussy Willow catkin. At 6 months old, Willow is healthy, thriving and entertaining us all with her playfulness. She allows us to cuddle her and hold her like a baby in our arms. She has surprised us with a hilarious new skill: drinking from our faucets. Every time we turn one on, she comes running for a drink! (even though her water dish is always full). She also loves to sit in windows, observing everything outside & is very curious about our house plants. She's a keeper!
