Pookie is a Calico Cat who was born the runt of the litter. She was a feisty kitten who stood her ground with her brother, Beni, a Russian Blue. She loved to play string and to run around the house with her brother. Sadly, both Pookie and Beni contracted liver cancer and died. Pookie is seen in this picture on my shoulder in the Sooke, B.C. area by the wild Pacific Ocean. This would be the last trip she would make before her death. She is well remembered and loved.
