A friend and I fell in love with this Mexican beach dog in February 2017. We fed him and two of his friends twice a day, giving them lots of love, tummy rubs, treats, snuggles. But this one boy... he touched our hearts. He even spent the night in our hotel room after the rescued hotel cat wouldn't let him pass by. It broke our hearts to leave him behind. A couple weeks after returning home I saw a post on Facebook that he was available for adoption and I notified my girlfriend immediately. Minutes later a second post appeared saying he had found a new home on Vancouver Island. My girlfriend had contacted them right away and said "We'll take him !" Now living a charmed life in Canada and it was all done within 5 days of the initial Facebook post. The attached photo was taken at our hotel in Mexico and it's probably the first time he's had a yummy bone all to himself ! So many special people were involved in getting him here, to catch him, have him neutered, vaccinated... then to find a crate, arrange his transportation, an escort to Vancouver airport. My husband and I picked him up at 2am in the morning and spent the night in a hotel where he got his first toy and was allowed to sleep on the bed with us which he took full advantage of. You should have seen him walk into that hotel lobby, all proud, head up, tail wagging a 100 miles an hour. He now enjoys a life full of love, daily adventures, never a worry of where his next meal will come from and a human who loves him to bits ! His two beach amigos have also been adopted to Canadian families... such a great story !!
