Luna just celebrated her 2nd birthday. She is a shy girl who is working hard on becoming a "friendly cat." When first adopted she was a rescued half-feral mom of 4. All kittens were adopted by great families, and we took the mama. She joined our flamboyant male cat Lesio, also 2 years old, who we adopted from SPCA. Luna came a long way from being scared of everything to now letting us pet her, coming into our bed and carelessly playing with many toys. She learns well by mimicking Lesio, and we have no doubt she will one day be as friendly as he is. For now we try not to make sudden moves when dealing with her, reinforce all good behaviour with treats (Luna is very food-motivated), and we also let her experience life, which includes getting into trouble around the house, so that she can learn consequences. We suspect Luna knows how pretty she is, and plays us a bit at times ;)
