BioEdward (Maine Coon cross) came from the BCSPCA Richmond branch back in 2005 when he was about a year old. Geordie (ginger & white) came from the Trail branch in 2008 at about 8 months old. It was love at first sight for me for both of them. For Geordie, it was love at first sight as soon as he met Edward!! Edward wasn't so sure, and he tried to tame Geordie's affections at times by putting a big paw on his head! But they cuddled like this a lot. I lost Edward 2 years ago to congestive heart failure, but he lived a few years past when anyone thought he would. He was an amazing cat - a Maine Coon cross with that incredible loving, laid-back personality. And a very loud purr (and snore). Geordie grieved for 9 months, poor boy, but is now back to normal and is a crazy loving boy as well - he especially likes to rub noses with anyone who will let him. I have fostered many, many cats from the BCSCPA, but have only had 2 "foster-fails" (2 long-haired black sisters)!! I also have a 15-year-old ginger from the RSPCA in Australia (she moved back with me to Canada) and a black & white tabby who was the only survivor of a feral litter on a farm. We found his Mom dead on the farm, and I brought him up from 4 days old after his Mom died. All 5 get along most of the time - although even I will admit that 5 is a few too many!!
