Bio
The first time I met Captain Jack I knew he was meant to be at my side. He was extremely fearful when i got him but for some reason he trusted me. Considering he still wont let many white men near him it was an honor to be trusted by him. Very little is know about his past. He cane to the south peace branch of the BCSPCA several months before I adopted him. Not much is know about his past. Its believed he spent a year living as a stray in norther Alberta. Prior to that all indication he was in an extremely abusive and neglectful home before finally escaping. He is approximately two to 3 years old. He's missing an eye that was most likely a birth defect or an injury incurred as a puppy. It hadn't been treated prior to coming to Dawson Creek. The wonderful people at the SPCA and the South peace veterinary clinic fixed him up. Its actually healed so well that most people don't notice the missing eye at first. Once that was healed. Wendy Davies (South Peace branch manager) helped rehabilitate him the point he could be adopted. He's been at my side day and night for almost 5 months now. His fear is slowly going away and now he can start to enjoy a world of happiness. I'm so proud to have him and honored be able to help him.
