Buddy was a miniature American Eskimo who was with me his entire life from 12 weeks old to 13.5 years. He was born in Oyama. He was the most friendly and loving dog. When we went walking everyone wanted to meet him and he wanted to meet everyone. He loved all people and all animals. He never chased a cat or was aggressive with another dog. He would just get excited to meet them. During the last part of his life he developed a bad habit of eating rocks. When he got sick in the spring of 2016 the Xray showed 3 rocks in his stomach. He recovered from the surgery very well but never overcame his desire for rocks. At one point he stopped eating and we thought that was the end. But then he suddenly began to eat again. He wore a muzzle when we out to prevent form eating rocks. He gained weight and I thought all was well. But it wasn't. He gradually went downhill with no interest in anything but food. In the end he was thought to have Cushing's disease. He was euthanized on Jan 25, 2016.
