Chewie is 10.5 years old. When she had just turned 9, she slipped a disc in her back. Her back end went paralyzed instantly. The emergency vet didnt think she would make it. Then she found a response on the right side. Over the next few weeks we carried her back end while she walked with her front legs. She slowly got the movement back in her right leg and began using it. Over the next few months, she began using her left leg, until she would walk without our support. She does stairs, swims, plays and when excited she will run. I call her Chewie the Wonder Dog.
