This is Morgan..
He is usually a shy boy in front of the camera and runs and hides so this is a rare occasion where I caught a smile :)
He is almost 13 and one of the few yorkies I've had thats not turned silver yet.
Morgan's a fiesty one at best.. he was the boss of his late brother Maddie whos picture is also in this contest.
I am a huge supporter of SPCA... Morgan was a rescue puppy that I found and with the help of SPCA they shut down the breeder and rescued the mother and other babies, dads and other animals on the farm. If it was not for losing a previous puppy from this breeder and a necropsy which indicated birth defects from the mother. The breeder replaced the puppy with Morgan which was a new litter from the same mother which alarmed me.. after investigation and a surgery for Morgan at 7 months old in the US, showed that the mother had been bred 19 times. I would not stop until that woman was shut down and it was dismantled and all dogs were neutered/spayed and found new homes. Morgan was not supposed to live past 5, but with the surgery, a specialized diet and lots of love here he is almost 13 years.. and yes in the new vet textbooks as the surgery was not available in Canada. Luckily Pullman, WA was close by and THE BEST hospital experience for he and I.
So my little tough guy had a rough start but is my little man.. so loving.. since we lost Maddie last November Morgan's become less independant and a big snuggler..
Its a tough competition between Morgan and Maddie but I couldnt decide who to enter so I decided to enter both :)
Please vote for both Morgan and Maddie.. it would be wonderful for them to get into either the calander of the deck of cards.. one last tribute of them being together would be so special..
