We brought Jake home 6 years ago. The Kamloops staff named him Scruffy, which gives you an idea of what he looked like. He was picked up wandering in a small town near us and was estimated to be about 4 years old. He's a schnauzer/poodle cross who had never seen a groomer. What a difference his haircut made in his appearance. Unfortunately though, he'd had an accident and had to have an eye removed. He has adapted well, has even passed evaluation to become a Therapy dog, visiting seniors in care facilities. And, as he settled in to his new home, he has curbed his 'wanderlust' to become a pampered member of our household. Nearing the age of 10 years, he enjoys his daily hikes in local parks, as well as walks around his neighbourhood.
