Animal BioKizzy is a 9 year old, blue-eyed female mixed breed (Siamese, Aquila Tabby) cat. She and her brother moved in with me after the neighbor's cat had a litter. I had not been anticipating this but they have been a wonderful addition to my home. They look out for each other.
She is about half his size at the same age. She had a very close encounter with a Shepherd as a kitten (belly up), and her timidity might have stemmed from this. She has been mellow and preferred to remain indoors and close to home. She is the only cat I know who plays in the water when the hose is running. She perches on the tub when one is bathing and will play with the water. She hasn't fallen in yet. She became much more adventurous when we moved into our own home,
She tends to walks as if she is wearing heels (very dainty), but will bounce through the tall grass when she is dashing about in the yard. She ventures into the fern forest to find me when I'm walking through the bush on the property. She appears out of nowhere. For a cat as timid as she was, this astonished me as the ferns she travels through are at least 2.5' feet high.
She is quite connected to her brother, and although they sometimes have spats, he looks out for her. There are two other cats living on this property (who were here when I moved here), and they all look out for each other. When Kizzy was injured while I was in Vancouver, her brother and the others remained in close proximity. She waited on the deck for me to return, and they stayed with her. Her brother was a caregiver, and regularly washed her as in the first few years.
She's an awesome cat (as is her brother), and this pic is the most beautiful picture I have of her.
