This is Cleo and Dylan sleeping together as they have continued to do so every day of their lives together until Cleo's sudden death a few weeks ago.

Cleo is the tortoiseshell in the picture above. She was one of many SPCA kittens that we fostered over the years. Dylan is the ginger male, also a stray, but adopted from another animal welfare society in Langley.

Despite six years difference between them, Cleo and Dylan developed an instant attachment and special bond. Dylan groomed Cleo daily and batted her along with provided her with the occasional bite - depending on his mood. They always slept together and could be found in this similar position throughout the house.

I have never seen two cats so devoted to one another. Dylan is mourning his companion as are the humans in our household. In memory of Cleo - you are dearly missed you beautiful girl.
