After pleading with the staff to accept our application for her, we picked up Sadie from the Vancouver SPCA and she came straight to my miserable downpour of a soccer game. That first night, she was out cold with a toy in her mouth and we were all immediately smitten with her. That was January 2005 at one and a half years old. This photo is of a happy summer day spent outside about four or five years back - in her element of basking in the sun, with a ball close by. Although she has now lost her hearing and undergone an ACL surgery, she is still going strong and we thank our lucky stars that she has provided us with so much love since that first day!
