Lennon Squiggy is a 12 year old Pomeranian mix with a signature sneer who has enriched the life of his owner Jennie since the minute he joined her life at the age of 8 months old. Jennie is Lennon’s third and forever home and they have been on many adventures, including a birthday trip to Manhattan and a 4 month road trip through the United States together. It hasn’t all been wine and roses though; Lennon survived an attack by a large dog when he was 4 that resulted in over 30 stitches. Through it all, Lennon faces every advevture and challenge with an unimpeachable courage and confidence, never losing his swagger whether it’s through pain or the unique madness of living in an RV on desert highways. He has sat aboard over 50 flights with Jennie, to the point where if his kennel isn’t under the seat in front of her, it feels weird. He has lived at 13 different addresses with her, and never takes more than an afternoon to feel at home in them. He’s been on trains, boats, kayaks, bikes; he’s been to parties and outdoor concerts and protests; he’s climbed mountains and learned how to swim and gone camping. All of it while giving high fives to strangers and demonstrating a show pony gait. It is his zest for life and pint sized bravery that has been the biggest inspiration to Jennie as she has maneuvered the better part of a decade as an independent woman. He is her running mate and has kept life light and funny and full of reasons to explore. He’s everyone’s favorite dog. I know everyone says that but this time it’s true.
