Tenor came into our lives when we least expected it. We were still grieving the loss of our beloved dog Tommy. My husband decided to drop by our local BCSPCA and "just have a look". That's when we first met Tenor. He had just been seized from someone's yard where he was found tied up and with no shelter. I suppose our fates were sealed when I went into his enclosure. He barked at us and I knew he was afraid. I knelt down on the gravel and he came up and sat beside me. He tilted his head back to look up at me and I looked into those brown eyes I knew there was sweetness under all that fur. It took the groomers two days to get all the matted hair off of him. He was already five years old and we were unsure what emotional damage had been done to him. But we had to take a chance on him. He had a lot of anxiety at first as he got used to his new home and people. Over the three and half years that we've had him he has blossomed into a sweet, smart, funny, loving companion. How lucky we were to come across this awesome little dog that we love so much. We weren't there for the being of his life but we know that the rest of his life will be all that he deserves.
