Scotty and I found each other when he was 7 and had been surrendered by a very loving home because he no longer got along with his brother. He was very shy, aloof, skittish, and sequestered from all other cats due to his 'need for space'. Since I am also shy, aloof, and anti-social, we were a perfect match. 4 years later and he is the most loving, loyal, sweet boy I could ask for - though still aloof!
I like to say that Scotty and I 'saved each other'. We were both at a point in our lives where we were in need of a connection, companionship, and unconditional love without pressure.
