Animal Bio
Mr. Carson was living on the streets in Granville Ferry Nova Scotia for over 2 years, when he was first sighted it was believed he was about 6 months. Thankfully some of the local residents started to feed him, and one resident allowed him to come into his work shop during the day.
Many of the residents in the town were familiar with him has he was a "peeping Tom" often seen looking through windows into houses.
When I saw him through a patio window while visiting a friend it was love at first sight, but when I went out the door he was gone before I had a foot on the patio.
It only took one month of daily visits while he was warming up in the workshop for us to become fast friends and before he could be placed into a carrier and off to the vet.
He was a Tom cat, full of fleas, ear-mites,large mats and had a serious upper respiratory infection.
Bringing him home that night was worrisome, would he be terrified being in a house, would he know what a litter box was, so many unknown answers.
We put the carrier in our living room opened the carrier door and just carried on with our normal routine. Several hours later while we were on our couch watching TV Mr. Carson came out of his carrier and jumped on the couch between us, purred, asked for rubs and went back to sleep!
When we proceeded to bed, in less than 2 minutes he was snuggled right into between us.
Over the past 3 years he has become very outgoing with all humans and you would never guess that he was ever semi-feral.
We believe he was a "peaking Tom" during his life on the street just waiting for the right home to come along and we feel blessed that it was us!
Note from Mr. Carson: My Mom and Dad are working in beautiful BC for the next few months and I am safe and sound with my wonderful other Mom and Dad who I love very much. I can only hope that all other pets that don't have a home can be as lucky as I am.
