Bentley was adopted from out local SPCA by my husbands mom approx 12 years ago. He was too wild for her so Pete took him on. I didn't know my husband then or Bentley. The first time I met him he growled at me, he WAS a little wild! Little did we both know that I would become his favourite human and he my dearest and loyalist friend, a piece of my soul. Together as a family we have had many adventures over the years. Ben came everywhere with us. He has made so many people laugh amd smile as his favourite passtime was to play with giant rocks and logs. He would pounce with his front legs and growl and then push what ever giant piece became his game. He would play like this for hours, rolling and growling objects up and down beaches and on trails. His favouite thing to do! He has been beyond loyal to his humans, loving us as only he could. When our son was born three years ago he was ever so patient with our little one. He has never been fond of children but because he was ours he made an exception. Ben brought smiles and love every minute of every day to our family. He was the heart of our sweet family. Sadly we lost Bentley at the age of 14 on Feb 25 of this year. He has left such a gaping hole in our lives. Should he be honoured to have a place in the contest I would love it and it would be so fitting for him to be the month of February for his memory.
