Animal Bio
We adopted Bella from the SPCA Port Coquitlam branch in 2010 when she was only a few months old, she was rescued by a dumpster diver up in William’s lake, where her and her siblings had been dumped. Bella is a Border Collie, Rottweiler, German Shepard mix. When I first met Bella she didn’t really want anything to do with me or anything else, we were told she had allergies and wasn’t feeling well. After getting her on a special diet she started opening up, she was a very silly and destructive puppy; anything she could find to chew and destroy she would, even all her toys. One of her favorite spots to sit was the dishwasher door when it was open. Now that she is 7 years old Bella still has tons of energy she burns off by doing “puppy zoom” and rolling around in the dirt or grass, she loves to run and dig, likes to play in the water, but hates getting wet and she loves sticks! Bella also loves to watch TV with the family and will jump up at the TV and either bark or cry when she sees another animal on the TV. Bella has a very sassy personality and does her own thing most of the time, if you tell her to do something and she doesn’t want to she will tell you; if we are on a walk and she doesn’t want to go towards home or wants to go somewhere specific she gets in this stance and it’s pretty tough to pull her so you have to trick her to get her to go. While being incredibly sassy and independent she is also protective and loving.
