Entrant's First NameCarolyn
Animal BioMaggie was one of the Surrey 57 from August 2015. Badly emaciated, she could barely walk when her rescuers tried to trailer her. She spent the next 3.5 months at the Good Samaritan Barn where she received the care and love she needed to help heal her body. On December 13th, 2015, my Daughter and I borrowed a trailer and drove from Salt Spring to the barn to bring this amazing girl back home with us. Over the next few months we watched as her spirit healed and the spunky spitfire inside began to shine through. Proudly Arabian, this girl loves to show off for anyone who will watch. She is clever and mischievous, and keeps us ALL on our toes! She has had a few adventures since joining our family, including escaping from a locked gate. (Still haven't figured out that one!) Her bond with my Daughter is incredible to see, even when they've been apart. (As you can see from the photo! This was taken on Abby's graduation day!) Maggie was meant to be a part of our family... and despite a rough journey, she's now home. We are so grateful to the SPCA and all the work they do to help ALL animals, and we are proud to have adopted this girl.
