We adopted Wrigley (formerly named Chacha) from the Wiliams Lake SPCA Nov. 4 2016 when she was only 8 weeks old. My dog Madi and I travelled to Williams Lake to pick her up and after a long 6 hour drive home back to Surrey we settled her into her new home the first night Wrigley was having nothing to do with being alone in her crate so we cuddled all night. Wrigley quickly settled into her new home and house training was not so bad. Every morning she makes sure I get up after the alarm goes off but not before she gets her morning snuggles and kisses in. Now Wrigley is about 50lbs and defends her bowl from Madi (Madi gobbles her food while Wrigley is a grazer)loves to run in the park across the street, chases the crows and the ducks when they are in her park. Wrigley normally quiet has found her voice when she is excited. Wrigley is still fearful of other dogs and keeps her distance when off leash but gets very excited and bold when on leash. We are working on that.
Wrigley brings us joy each and every day. I have a picture of her at my desk it reminds me of what I get to go home to and gets me through my day.
