Gemma was a rescue from the Chilliwack SPCA and was rescued from a puppy mill. We have had her for almost 4 years now, she is 6 and is stronger than ever and full of energy. She is loving and so grateful...plus she's needy and anxious just like us, so it works! She loves to cuddle and is highly protective of her family. I have a soft fuzzy robe and carry Gemma in it wherever we go in the house; she scares easily at loud noises so with my robe she can hide her head and feel warm and safe always. We love her more than anything in the world and she brings us so much joy. She leads our little pack and thinks she is bigger than ALL dogs. When we first got her she was quiet and never barked. Now she has found her voice and frequently uses it to tell other dogs and people to stay clear of her two mums, but once she senses there is no threat she will love you instantly. Gemma is the best medicine when you're feeling down and she will slowly touch your face and stare into your eyes to let you know everything is going to be alright. Gemma is incredibly smart and we have our own language that is more powerful than words. She has so much heart and we love our Gemma Bean so much<3 We are extremely lucky to have her in our lives.
