Our beautiful MeiLi was a street dog in Taiwan. She is a Formosan Mountain dog X. Some wonderful people in Taichung took her to a Veterinarian where she was cared for and as time went on was deemed adoptable.

Thanks to the C.E.R.A. (Canine Education, Rescue & Adoption) group for giving a second chance to these beautiful companions. The group consisting of very dedicated Veterinarians, assistants and many volunteers on the Taiwanese side and also the many dedicated volunteers from the Richmond/Vancouver area work hard to coordinate dogs with compatible owners. Their online groups offer excellent bios on all the dogs including videos of them at various times. We are thankful to have worldwide access to so many rescue groups who do such good in this world we all live in.

MeiLi is now 4 years old and has been a much loved very important member of our family for the past 2 1/2 years. We can’t imagine our lives without this loving, loyal, precious girl.

My husband and I were so happy to hear that a law was passed in Taiwan that dogs are not to be consumed! Way to go, Taiwan 🇹🇼.🐕
