Mango is a 22 year old Moluccan Cockatoo and was originally adopted in 2017. Mango was rescued from the now defunct World Parrot Refuge located in Coombes, BC and was one of 600+ parrots that were unfortunately subjected to terrible conditions after the founders passing. Now Mango enjoys his days going to the lake, attending fundraising events but most importantly hanging with his humans and experiencing the love he deserves. Although we don’t know the exact day he was hatched or anything about his past or previous family or families, we celebrate Valentine’s Day is spirit of his arrival into our family. Moluccan Cocktoos are a challenging species to live with, and are often equated to a flying three year olds that loves for 80 years. And boy, does he live up to those standards! Regardless of his textbook cockatoo personality, he brings endless joy and entertainment to our family and we look forward to the many more years we expect to have with him.
