Animal Bio
Simon was adopted from the Surrey Animal Rescue Center in October 2014. He had been on the street for quite awhile according to the staff. When he first came home he was a bit skittish but quickly settled in.
Simon is very intelligent and has a great sense of humour. He loves to play and help out around the house by grooming the plants and getting in the way. He likes to be where ever we are unless he is taking a break in the basement or on his bed a.k.a. my bed, which he loves to stretch out and hog completely.
Simon enjoys going outside and hanging out with his neighborhood friends. He can open his own window by unlatching it and pushing it open. He loves to go into our neighbor’s home to visit and say hello. Simon thinks he owns the neighborhood and can often be found on our roof overseeing his territory. He also likes to hide in the front bush and sneak up on unsuspecting passing dogs.
Simon LOVES chicken! If he is outside we literally call him at dinner time telling him we are having chicken and he will come running! He sits and waits like a gentleman for his chicken. Sometimes he is a bit of a piggy and eats ALOT of chicken! We now have to make an extra piece just for him.
Simon has a nickname, Bubba. It’s our affectionate name for him. He does have a few other names that we tend to blurt out when he knocks the paperwork off of the desk, licks the pans on the stove or does a flyby and tries to trip us. Simon is a cat after all, and cats will be cats!
We adore Simon. He has brought so much love and joy to our lives. He is definitely the King of his castle and we are definitely HIS people!

I am sure if Simon could speak he would be advocating pet adoption! It has been a blessing for him and for us!
