Lilly was adopted from the Shuswap SPCA after two abusive, neglected years living outdoors in northern Alberta. It took months in foster care for her to learn how to live indoors, walk on carpet, drink from a water bowl, play with toys and walk on a leash. She had a very poor quality of food for so long, it took time for her coat to become shiny and healthy with good nutrition. All things used to scare her but she slowly gained trust, built confidence and is such a loyal and loving family pet now! She even "helps" out with other foster puppies/dogs that I bring home now and again. She has a very calm demeanor so dogs with anxiety feel more relaxed around her.
