Our big girl Sadie had a very hard time as a pup. We rescued her when she was just 9 weeks old. She broke her back leg at this young age. A full recovery at home to try and keep her quiet and still for her leg to heal would've proved impossible. She was just a pup and we had a busy house with young kids. Due to this she had to recover and heal for over 2 months at the vet. Sadie missed a lot of her precious socialization time. When she was healed enough we decided to take her out to off leash parks to get her used to other dogs. Little did we know, that would be a mistake. While at the dog park on a few occasions, she was targeted and attacked by other dogs. This caused her to become very aggressive and unsure of other dogs. We thought for sure her mind was made up and she would never allow another dog into her life.
We came across another rescue and decided we wanted to give this little guy a forever home if Sadie approved. To our shock and amazement she welcomed him with open paws ;)
They are the best of friends and we couldn't imagine our lives without both of them ♥️
