Two weeks after Glen passed, I saw an ad from the SPCA with a kitten who looked quite a bit like Glen. I have never bought a cat, all of my previous cats were ones left behind and adopted me but something moved me to at least go and look at him, even though I was sure it was too soon to even think about "replacing" Glen. I went and met him, (he was the only one that I looked at,) then I inquired at the desk as to the cost to adopt him. While I was talking to them, Freddie never took his eyes off of me, even though there were others that had gone into his room. I walked from one side of the lobby to the other and his head followed me, looking through the windows. He seemed as compelled to chose me as much as I had chosen him. I almost felt like Glen knew how devastated I was at losing him, and inspired me to look at Freddie, and for him to chose me! I told them to reserve him so I could go and get the morey to pay for him, I KNEW he was meant to come home with me! Once I got him home, he had almost attended of Glen's mannerisms and personality. Only difference I could see is that Glen would hid when strangers came over, and Freddie would run to the stairs, "Ok, who is here?" and he doesn't play fetch. Like Glen, he always wants to come into my office whenever I am in there, and whenever I go into the bathroom, he follows me and jumps up on the counter, and I am inspected to run water across the back of my hand, just like Glen used to. None of the other cats do that! So glad i got Freddie, aka Frederick Wellington Mousenipper!
