Mabel was born in Port Angeles, Washington. Before finding her forever home, she started her journey with a family who had many young children. Unfortunately, they found they did not have enough time for her, so rehomed her using Craigslist. She then lived with a man, who had to give her up to the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. He was not very nice to Mabel, so she was suffering with a lot of guilt and fear of men.

Finally, when she was 6 months old a Canadian woman came over from Victoria, BC. With her she brought a bulldog named Edgar who was looking for love. He went on a number of speed dates with other dogs, but nothing seemed to fit quite right. His mother asked the society, if there were any other dogs who may be a good match. They said there may be a puppy, but had an adoption pending. Luckily, the adoption had fell through. They all met and there were many kisses and zoomies right away. Mabel had found her forever home.

Mabel has been living in Victoria for just over 2 years now. She is very social and has many human and dog friends. She is a great foster sister to many friends from the Victoria Branch BC SPCA. She helps to show them to trust others again, gain confidence and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Every year all of her friends new and old are invited to her adoption anniversary party, where this happy photo was taken.
