Mocha is a 14 year old shepherd/husky mix, that loves being around people and other dogs; she always lets the young dogs know she is the matriach and very wise by giving them a few barks to keep them in line. She is doing very well for her age and still enjoys short walks and loves dipping her feet in the cool water of the local dog beach and river nearby. She always loves her picture taken; smiling as she trots along beside us on her short walks.

We adopted Mocha from the local SPCA 14 years ago. She was brought in with a litter of puppies and was the last one left, due to be taken by another family but they were unable to take her so we were so lucky to get her.

Every year we go to the SPCA fundraiser Paws for Cause and one year Mocha won the Cake Walk, we were so proud of her.

Mocha has been such a blessing to our family. She is always happy and has grown up with my family around her. Over the years she has been a great comfort to us and is very loyal and loving. She has a deep bark but has a very soft nature, as she loves being cuddled, petted, brushed and groomed.

Mocha is still playful even in her senior years and the only thing different is that she sleeps more and has less energy, but apart from that she is amazing for her age.

We have lots of pictures of Mocha but thought that this picture was the best and we are hoping that everyone will love our senior girl
