Chöwder, originally named Stinkerbelle, was born on 25 October 2022 in a cat rescue in the small town of Fort Langley, Canada. She was the most energetic and courageous of her litter, and quickly became a favourite of the shelter’s staff and supporters. She was her sister’s emotional support buddy while the sister recovered from emergency surgery, and after the two were adopted together, Chöwder continued to be her smaller sister’s protector and guide.

Chöwder is very vocal, and will call out if she wakes from a nap and her sister is not beside her. She purrs easily and loudly, and can be heard from across the room. She is very brave, and approaches anything unfamiliar - a strange noise, a vacuum cleaner, a new toy - with confident caution and curiosity.

Chöwder often sleeps sprawled-out like contented royalty: paws in the air, soft-as-fairy-kisses belly welcoming to pats, purring loudly as she drifts off to sleep.
