Each year on behalf of Harley & BamBam (& in Loving Memory of Dexter & Kobe) during the Holiday season since their passing, we take the time to research the shelters in the local area & get supplies such as toys, blankets, leashes, collars, pads, treats etc to donate & provide a nice, joyful holiday experience for the animals in the care of the extraordinary staff that takes the time to care for them. We hope each year to be able to donate more supplies to the amazing animals that come through the doors at the local BCSPCA’S & local shelters as they wait to find their forever homes!

Harley came into our lives about 9 months after Kobe passed away, our family was devastated with the loss of our two family dogs happening within 2 months of each other. She was a light shining in a very dark place for us & it was like Dexter & Kobe sent her to us, a year later we welcomed her biological brother from their parents last litter, BamBam! He is also a great source of joy and happiness to our family! Harley is 2 years old now & BamBam is 1, they are both miniature long haired dachshunds!

Dexter & Kobe were brothers & beloved family pets.

Dexter was a Rottweiler x Doberman mix & was the sweetest boy I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, he lived until the age of 9.5 years before his life was sadly cut short & he was able to rest peacefully on 09/13/2021 as he suffered from multiple (3) slipped discs in his back that had a very low success rate due to his age & weight (9.5 years /113lbs), though willing to do the surgery & take the risk we were advised that even if 3/3 surgeries were successful which was very low, his quality of life would suffer as he would spend the rest of his life having a long & painful rehabilitation.

Kobe was a German Shepherd who lived until 11.5 years was my right hand man, he was Dexters big brother & protector, until his little brother surpassed him & became his protector in Kobe’s old age. Kobe came into health issues at the age of 8, as he survived GDV (Gastric Dilation-Volvulus) better known as bloat on Christmas Eve of 2018, had 3 other large operations & was on medications to help with his medical needs.

Kobe passed away 2 months after his brother on 11/13/21 from a mixture of old age & heartbreak as he missed his brother dearly.
Both were surrounded by their loved ones & passed peacefully in the arms of their owners.
