After my Father died, the family cat Foxy and my elderly mother were devastated. Foxy stopped eating and also died a month later. My mother was so lonely with both of them gone, we decided to adopt an older cat that needed a good home. We found Cooper at the Campbell River SPCA. He was 7 years old, overweight, and painfully shy after being abandoned by his previous family.
Five years later, Cooper is doing great. He loves his life and helping Mum do the crossword every morning. He has plenty of toys and treats, and warm spaces in the sun to sleep all day.
