Animal Bio
These two are our “Foster Wins”. We’ve had them since they were about 5-6 weeks old, and just over a pound each. They fought through 2 months of medical care for parasites, upper resp infections, and UTI but somehow pulled through. Once their bios were posted on the shelter website we realized they were actually home already, and had to quickly submit our applications.

Time has flown by and they have become our sweetest 4 year old “tuxedo twins”.

Since fostering them, we’ve fostered another 8 cats all of whom they’ve welcomed into our home and acted as temporary big brothers to. In particular, they took one shy kitten under their wing. Under their guidance, he blossomed from watching us suspiciously from his hiding place under the bed, and hissing when we got too close, to loving being scooped up for snuggles, tearing around the house, and causing the best kind of chaos with his two foster brothers.

These two have taught us so much about resilience, empathy, and also that being a little goofy can make your day a little better. Most of all, they taught us that fostering and adopting animals saves lives - not only theirs but also the life of the next animal that their vacated kennel can now accommodate. By bringing them home, we helped two tiny kittens to thrive and to heal from both the physical illnesses and the invisible scars. And in return they’ve helped us to thrive too.
