I adopted Posty a year ago when she was 7 months old. She was in the big playroom when I first saw her. I tapped on the window and she came racing over and started jumping up the window and banging her paws against the glass.
I continued on into the adoption room and visited the other cats. As I was leaving I was passing by the window and Posty saw me and started doing the same thing again. One of the staff came by and said this is Karen. She's crazy...that's why she's in here. Do you want to visit. I said sure. I sat and played with her. She was a bundle of love. The staff member came back...quite amazed at the change in 'Karens' behavior. She said i think we have a match. I had no plans of adopting that day and no supplies. But after awhile I knew she was right. So I said I'm adopting her, but I'm changing her name.
From the second she entered her new home she was happy. Exploring everywhere and coming back over to me for fuss. She has become such a social cat,. Posty always meets people at the door and walks with them as they are leaving. Always anticipating that extra bit of affection. Posty loves to play fetch with all her toys....hides her favorites then delivers them in the night to me. Always placing the on my bed.
When she gets bored...wants attention she'll start banging on the blinds till I show her I notice. Cat tv daily is a must...watching birds and mice patiently the the big move comes.
If she gets to rowdy I'll put on 'Sleepy cats' she sits, listens to the music then slowly nestles down for a nice sleep.
This little girl has been such a blessing in my life and I've promised her she will always be loved and safe with me.
Thank you everyone at the SPCA who looks after these little animals and works hard to find a good match to give them the love they all deserve.
