Animal Bio
Scout is a 4yr old French Bulldog (aka Meatball) and perfectly made to be everyone’s companion! Literally. He loves everyone and he is the king of eye contact in order to draw in as many new friends as possible. Once he’s got you in his sights, he’ll sit his fuzzy bum right on your feet to trap you for pets! It’s a good thing he is going to get a job soon (hopefully) with St John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog program, so he can spread the love even more.

Scout is originally from Russia and was brought to Canada at just 4 months old. His current owner adopted him from a kennel in northern Ontario and he never looked back! Even though Scout has been a world traveller, it’s clear he is living his absolute best life in Vancouver! He took to life with comfy beds, toys and treats with gusto! His favourite spot is the English Bay shoreline where he can dip his toes along the waters’ edge, bask in sun as he rests along driftwood or nearby rocks, and contemplatively take in his surroundings. A close runner up is any coffee shop patio where he can sit, make friends with both people and dogs walking by!

Scout has a BFF named Barkley, a rescue from Mexico, that he wants to be with all of the time. They play, rest and care for each other in the cutest ways. Their owners have to make sure they get to see each other often or they start demanding walks to each others’ homes!

Scout also loves his solo adventures and in his (rare) moments of excitement, will find the best nature hole (under rocks, under logs, under trees, under bushes…. You get the picture), to dig a den and relax. His owner affectionately calls him Hobgoblin, but in the best way possible!

If you see Scout around town, make sure to stop and say hi! You are almost guaranteed a foot sit :)
