Sumie (was named Greta at the Richmond BC SPCA) was a feral cat living with a cat colony in Richmond before she was rescued by The BC SPCA. Our beloved cat of 14 years had passed away and we were looking to give another shelter cat a loving home. We were introduced to Sumie who immediately bunted and purred when we opened her kennel. Sumie was 2 years old when she came to us. She is now 5 years old and loves the outdoors and walks. Napping is another favourite pastime as well as playing with jingly balls. She loves her tunnels and can be seen often hiding and chasing our other cat Simba. Sumie is a caretaker, she wants everyone in the family to be happy. If someone is upset, Sumie will quickly come over to console and to provide comfort by bunting and meowing as if to say “it will be ok”. Always loyal, she will wait by your bedside at bedtime making biscuits. She is a precious kitty!
