Franky was adopted from the Victoria SPCA in February 2013. He came to the SPCA from Alert Bay, where he had been running with a pack of other semi-wild dogs. Judging by his fear and healed over broken ribs, he had been pretty badly abused as a young dog. Since coming home with us, he has blossomed into a friendly and affectionate cuddle-bug, and a consumate mama's boy. He spends his weekends hiking all over Vancouver Island, and his evenings snuggled on the couch getting belly rubs. This photo was taken by Marco Crescenzi at Ripple Rock north of Campbell River on Vancouver Island.
