My baby came to me at 2 1/2 years old, she was scared of everything and the first dog I ever owned. She is now 13, definitely part of our family. We almost lost her 2 years ago from Pyometra. She has a little arthritis and needs to be lifted in and out of the car, is loosing some of her hearing and has cataracts...but she is the most loving animal and I am so very very happy she came into our lives.
