Brutus 1st year of his life was horrendous. He was rescued from a dog hoarder, who must of been mentally ill as she was a recluse that never let the animals outdoors, & had some of the dogs wearing diapers which were hardly changed. Brutus was found dirty, matted, with weeping diaper sores, terribly under weight, and with dog bites covering little body.
When we were introduced to Brutus, his matted hair had been cut away & he had been given his 1st bath in his little life. He weighed only 4lbs. & he couldn't stop shivering, not because he was cold, because he never saw so many people in his life. Brutus was seeing 'MEN' for the 1st time too. When I took him in my hands & looked into those big beautiful brown eyes, I Instantly fell in love.
Since then, everyday is a new discovery for Brutus. His first rain, his first snowman, his first sunshine. We've been a family for Brutus for just over a year now. We thought he has seen mostly everything, but one walk Brutus stopped in his tracks and went crazy, growling, barking & all. We looked around & could see nobody, nothing but a motorcycle- and then it dawned on us... The motorcycle, he's never seen one parked on the street! So we calmed him down & let him sniff & check it out. Sure enough, it was the bike. On we went discovering the world with Brutus. Our lives, thankfully, will never be the same.
